Jhanelle Peters
Registered Psychotherapist, Mental Health Clinician for the Toronto Raptors. Jhanelle is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Mental Health Clinician for the Toronto Raptors. Jhanelle also works with various grass-root community organizations as a Mental Health Professional and individual clients through her Toronto-based private practice Jhanelle Peters Psychotherapy. With compassion and understanding at the forefront, Jhanelle works with individuals to identify strengths, tools and personal determination that can lead to positive and lifelong changes. Curtis Wennberg
President & CEO, Credit Union Central of MB Curtis Wennberg joined CUCM as the President and CEO in October 2021. He serves on the boards of directors for the Prairie Payments Joint Venture, CUCC, and on the Celero management committee. Prior to joining CUCM, Curtis served as Chief Operating Officer of Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI), leading operations and customer service through a team of 1,200 people. In his five years at MPI, he oversaw significant changes which helped to provide lower insurance rates, increase customer satisfaction, and evolve the culture of the firm. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba, and a Masters of Business Administration from the London Business School in England. He has held executive roles for businesses in credit cards, commercial finance, consumer finance, strategy, and marketing. In addition to senior level positions with RBC, HSBC, and GE Capital, Curtis was also the Chief Business Development Officer for the Canadian Depository for Securities as it underwent the acquisition by the Toronto Stock Exchange Group. Through the State of the System address, Curtis will provide updates and insights regarding emerging issues and opportunities for Manitoba credit unions. |
Jennifer Barroll
Corporate Leadership & Communications Consultant Jennifer Barroll is a passionate communicator. With a background as an actor, media personality, and stand-up comedian, she uses her quick wit and energetic personality to deliver practical leadership training and communication tools. Michael McCormack
CFI Mike McCormack, CFI, is a graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology with a major in Law and Sociology. Mike is designated as a Certified Forensic Investigator. Before joining MNP, Mike served for 24 years at the Ottawa Police Service, where he worked in municipal and federal policing roles. He has experience investigating complex international financial crimes including a variety of fraud schemes, money laundering and proceeds of crime offences. Mike was in charge of the Integrated Payment Team at the Ottawa Police and was responsible for the direction and investigation of payment card offences and large-scale identity theft offences. Mike was designated by the Ontario Court as an expert in the identification of fraudulent payment cards and identification of fraud schemes. Mike served as the Anti-Organized Crime Coordinator for the European Union Police Mission in Bosnia and is experienced in dealing with international and national law enforcement agencies. Mike was seconded to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Integrated Proceeds of Crime unit where he served as a team leader and manager. He was designated by the Ontario Court as an expert in the identification and detection of proceeds of crime. Mike has extensive knowledge of judicial authorizations, interviewing techniques and investigation techniques in confidential and sensitive investigations. |
Brad Milne
CIRP, LIT Brad Milne is a Senior Vice-President with MNP’s Insolvency and Corporate Recovery Group. Based in Brandon, he leads the firm’s insolvency practice in western Manitoba. Brad holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba. He joined MNP in 1997 and has been working exclusively in insolvency since 2006. Brad is a CAIRP qualified Insolvency Counsellor and Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP). He became a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) in 2008 and is licensed to practice in both consumer and corporate fields. Brad presently works almost exclusively in consumer insolvency but has experience in a broad range of industries including agriculture, forestry, hospitality, restaurants, and real estate. Brad has served on the executive board of the Manitoba Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (MAIRP) and is a former delegate on the Professional Conduct Committee of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP). |
